Pickled Red Onions

Woo Hoo! Another video!

I always have these onions in my fridge to add some color and acidity to any meal! They can spice up everything from rice and beans to a breakfast sandwich. I also love to gift these onions as a housewarming gift or even for the holidays!

What you’ll need:

  • A pot to make the pickling liquid

  • A sharp knife to cut your onions and minimize your tears

  • A large jar, I'm using an old salsa jar


  • Organic red onions

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar

*Careful to cool the pickling liquid slightly before pouring it into a room temp jar
